WE ARE RADIO HUMBER
96.9 Radio Humber (CKHC-FM) operates as a 60 watt Campus-Community Radio Station from the Humber College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning, North Campus in Toronto, Ontario.
96.9 Radio Humber develops and delivers unique, complementary programming that is rich in local information and reflection within the GTA.
Radio Humber is Canada's first "All Canadian Radio Station". We play 100% Canadian music and introduce new and emerging Canadian artists from all types of musical stylings.
Much of the music Radio Humber plays plays is not heard on other radio stations. We offer a blend of genres covering country, jazz, pop, urban and rock.
WE ARE DIVERSE
With a diverse music universe of over 5000 Canadian songs we showcase new and emerging talent both locally and from across the country. In addition to airplay, we support these local artists and events through on-air promotion, in-studio (live and recorded) sessions and interviews.
“Unsigned”, now in its tenth year features new and upcoming Canadian artists not yet signed to a major music label. We feature a variety of genres, highlight the music and the artists pathway.
Radio Humber broadcasts ArtsAbled, is a rich Jazz and Instrumental portfolio developed, performed and recorded by volunteers and students affiliated with the Humber music program. The ArtsAbled series also features competitions and a live concert series.
WE ARE LIVE
96.9 Radio Humber broadcasts News, Sports, Traffic and Entertainment, and is a broadcast outlet for the provinces “Amber Alert” program as monitored by the OAB.
Radio Humber presents: “@humber”, is our newsmagazine covering news and events of the day with an emphasis on “live-local” content important to social, economic and community issues and their impact here at home.
We broadcast “live” Play by Play of the Humber Hawks women’s and men’s volleyball and basketball games. Volunteer experts, analyst’s, announce staff and hosts present these broadcasts. Our “Sportsdrive” roundtable program also focuses on varsity and community sports.
Thanks for dropping in. We hope you enjoy listening to Radio Humber.
