Humber’s North Campus. The new website will feature new menus, links to social media, and the ability to view and make bookings for the Humber Room, as well as online ordering for Gourmet Express and The Food Truck. The Humber Room is in the process of implementing a state of the art Point-of-Sale system that will allow students to carry tablets with them to their tables and complete orders in a fast, efficient, and modern

The three live learning labs, Gourmet Express, the Food Truck, and The Humber Room, are all integral to the real-life application of the skills acquired in the Hotel and Restaurant Operations Management, Culinary Skills, and Culinary Management programs. The application of these live learning labs helps develop customer service skills, recipe creation and supply-chain management for all students. HRT has partnered with the Learning Garden and Horticulture Program to grow vegetables and herbs that will be used in recipes for all three labs as well as the indoor greenhouse for year-round herbs and micro-greens. For the students in the Culinary Management program, it gives them an appreciation for how ingredients are grown, and the concept of “Field to Fork” dining by taking freshly grown produce and putting it directly in the hands of students.

The Food Truck and Gourmet Express are open daily

The Humber Room will open September 18th through the 14th of December for lunch and dinner service Monday through Friday.
