If you like movies or you have nothing better to do this summer, you should definitely catch a FREE flick I mean why not? It’s a perfect way to hang out with buds and who doesn’t love a FREE movie.
Here’s the places you can watch a FREE movie at:
Harbourfront – Starting in July you’ll be able to watch movies at the harbourfront every Wednesday night. How cool would that be to watch a movie by the water. Starting in August the sail-in cinema will be back in action.
Christie Pits – The Christie Pits film festival starts June 25th and will continue every Sunday night until August 20th. Food and Drinks will be available to purchase. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair so you can be comfortable.
The Beaches – The movies will be set up on a giant inflatable screen at Kew Gardens and rotating weekends at Ivan Forest Garden at The Beach Village. This will be happening every Wednesday night starting July 5th. Don’t forget a black or chair.
Mel Lastman Square – How does a free concert and a movie sound? Starting in July The Cultura Festival will be happening at Lastman Square. The evening will start with live performances and then end with an Oscar winning or nominated movie. The event will happen every Friday in July starting from 6 to 11.
St. James Park – Starting with Pride on June 22nd every Thursday night at 9 Pm you can watch a film in one of Toronto’s prettiest parks.
Regent Park Film Festival – From July 12th to August 16th starting at 7 PM every Wednesday you can watch a free movie and even join in on the free events they will be hosting. The park will be hosting Yoga classes, DJ workshops, Soccer games and dance classes before the movie starts.
