Disney Movies You Need to Re-watch

Don’t lie. You took one look at the title and said “they all need to be re-watched. You can’t just choose, they’re all amazing.” I know, I know, I completely agree. But, there are just some classics that you can’t help but go back to no matter what. Here are just a few

Lion King

Long Live the King (sobs), the Lion King is something we all have to see once, if not a million times. Fun fact, the Lion King was inspired by William Shakespeare’s Hamlet, which can be seen throughout the film. This movie has it all, comedy, drama, songs, and great animation. Not only that, but the film has a lot of great sayings scattered throughout. For example, “Past can hurt, but as I see it, you can either run from it, or learn from it.” Plus, it’s fun for the whole family. I mean, so is all of Disney.

Talking dragons, defeating the Huns and a woman who will do anything to protect her family? Sign me up. Mulan isn’t your typical Disney princess movie which makes it worth watching. There’s no tale of lost love, or damsels in distress. It’s purely about bringing honor to your family and doing the right thing even when it’s the wrong thing. Plus when your travel companion is a small talking dragon sent to “protect you” and a cricket your grandma gave you for good luck, it makes for a good movie.

Toy Story

THIS. This is the movie that truly speaks to your inner child. No matter how much we try and convince ourselves. We all believed that when we left the room, our toys came to life and casually went about our day till we came back. So, when I first saw Toy Story, my inner child did back flips, real me would’ve… but that would’ve ended up with a trip to the ER. With each Toy Story that came out, more and more of our childish thoughts came to life. And it certainly helped that the actors did a phenomenal job with the voices of the characters.

Now I could go on and on about the countless Disney movies that we need to watch, but we would be here all day. So, go grab a bowl of popcorn, grab some blankets and have yourself a nice Disney Marathon.
