I’m back with more movies for you all. I don’t know if it’s a sign that I need to leave my house more but we’ll ignore that. Instead here is three movies coming to theatre this year that are worth taking a look at.
1. The Big Sick
This movies is based on a true story following an interracial couple that faces the struggles of cultural differences and compromise. The story itself is based loosely off of the life of the films writers Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V.Gordon. If you’ve seen the trailer then you know it’s about two families coming together and understanding differences. It’s a pretty interesting and comedic film worth checking out.
2. Annabelle: Creation
Following the films The Conjuring and Annabelle is Annabelle: Creation, a movie that finally tells us the origin of Annabelle, the haunted doll. The movie takes place in a farmhouse where toymaker Sam Mullins and his wife Esther take in a nun and six orphaned girls. Years earlier the couple lost their daughter Annabelle in a terrible accident, so is it really a coincidence that one of the girls finds an innocent doll with a life of its own?
A movie that everyone needs to see at least once. This 2017 remake of Stephen Kings 1990 film IT, details the horrors of missing children in the town of Derry, Maine. This results in the neighborhood kids coming together to defeat Pennywise, the killer clown whose been committing crimes for years, centuries even. If you’re looking for a good scare or even wanting to relive childhood horrors, this is the movie for you.
