“READY, ONE, TWO, ONE, TWO, ONE, TWO, THREE, YA---” (beat drops)
Beautiful people, it’s almost hit that time of year again. We are so close, you can almost hear the rattling bass!
Toronto’s VELD is taking place August 5-6th at Downsview Park for the sixth time!
The lineup features a perfect mix of Canadian and International acts to see and here are four artists YOU WILL NEED TO SEE!
The Atlanta-based rap legend will be hitting VELD stages with hits such as “Mask Off”, “March Madness”, “I Thought It Was A Drought”. He’ll be making his first VELD appearance, and this is your PERFECT opportunity to see him outside of his “Nobody’s Safe Tour”.
Brampton rapper/R&B singer Tory Lanez will be providing serious vibes for VELD go-ers with songs like “Luv” and his cover of “Controlla” alongside his bangers from his 2017 album “I Told You”. Tory is known for making a big splash at his live shows and lighting up the crowd.
Dzenko (pictured on the left) is on of Toronto’s hottest DJ’s! After working with his partner Luis Torres for many years and releasing the Hey Ep among many singles, Dzenko decided to go solo! He has created a myriad of remixes for songs like “Paris” by the Chainsmokers and “Congratulations” by Post Malone.
This Toronto based house DJ group is set to become the biggest Canadian Electronic act.
They’ve produced for artists such as Oliver Heldens, SNBRN, and Gorgon City. They are currently touring North America.
The premier electronic festival plans to crush Downsview with pumping tunes! It’s a great opportunity for you to see some of your favourite Hip-hop/EDM/Electronic artists whose shows typically sell out in minutes.
The festival organizers promised a “new take” on VELD as there will be three distinct stages which will highlight multiple performers.
VELD will be expanding the festival grounds to offer more accommodations for festival goers.
Tickets are still available at the VELD website, and it’s definitely an experience you will NOT want to miss out on.
Festival goers are hoping for a better experience than last year, as the festival was cancelled as a result of heavy rain. Many were issued refunds, but craved more music.
I myself am looking forward to the mix of EDM and Hip-hop. I can’t wait to see what the overall vibe is like!
This year VELD is a MUST attend event, and well, missing out isn’t an option.
