"Bigger, bolder and wholly encompassing in its creation...Cult Following is a brand new horizon,” DIY magazine wrote about Little Scream’s 2016 album. Kicking off her cross country tour, Little Scream will be performing at Toronto’s Danforth Music Hall on March 16th.
Cult Following is an album that entices you with a synth that breaks up the beat, a bold guitar, and a high, raucous voice. Artistic partner, Arcade Fire’s Richard Reed Parry, helped her to achieve an elusive atmosphere of firm impact without renouncing the albums grace. The opening interlude, ‘Welcome to the Brain’, makes it clear that she wants to offer you a different side to reality. Having four interludes across the entire album allows songs to easily flow from one to the next.

Cult Following has guest appearances from Mary Margaret O’Hara, Sufjan Stevens, Sharon Van Etten, Aaron and Bryce Dessner from the National, Owen Pallett, and Kyp Malone. An interesting thing about these guests is that you can hardly pick them out, instead of providing their personalities, they add their skills.
Joining her on tour are the Local Natives who are an indie rock band based out of LA. Little Scream has nothing but kind words for the band and says “not only do they make beautiful music, they work for beauty in this world all around.”
