Summer 2016 in Toronto has yet again failed to disappoint when it comes to live music. From Veld to back-to-back Tragically Hip shows to everything in between, this summer was one for the record books. With Fall just around the corner, the leaves are getting ready to change colour and the music is still coming.

September is shaping up to be country music month with an insanely stacked lineup of major Country music artists and groups, international and Canadian alike, set to descend upon Toronto. After Florida Georgia Line and Cole Swindell take over the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre on the September 1st,  Billy Currington plays consecutive sold out shows at Danforth Music Hall on September 6th and 7th. Later on in the month, Corb Lund (a Radio Humber favourite) invades Horseshoe Tavern on the 18th.

Don’t worry, Hip Hop and Rock ‘n Roll got their fair share of big names too. Here are some of the big ones to consider adding to your calendar:

  • Bad Boy Family Reunion: Air Canada Centre on Sept. 6th
  • Crooked Eye: Rockpile West on Sept. 8th
  • Sam Cash & The Romantic Dogs: Horseshoe Tavern on Sept. 9th
  • The Used: Danforth Music Hall on Sept. 9th & 10th
  • The Sheepdogs: Lee’s Palace on Sept. 14th
  • Matt Mays: Horseshoe Tavern on Sept. 15th
  • TURF (Toronto Urban Roots Festival): Fort York Garrison Common from Sept. 16th through 18th
