After a long wait of whether this festival would be back this year or not its official, BESTIVAL IS BACK! If you have no clue what Bestival is, it’s not just your typical festival, it’s an experience equipped with an inflatable church with staged weddings, lounge areas and a bunch of stages and performance tents.
Last year the first day of Bestival was freezing and rainy but that didn’t stop the party, with headliner Florence and the Machine tearing the house down, metaphorically since the event is outdoors. And did I mention it’s Bestival’s second year overseas in Toronto, it was created by British DJ Rob da Bank and a couple other partners.
This year Bestival is going to be bigger and better, promising headliners The Cure and Tame Impala which promises to be quite a show. Not only are the acts better so is the location! With Bestival taking place on Toronto Island last year, getting home was a definite struggle for most when trying to get off the island, as everyone was rushing for the boats. This year Bestival is moving to dryer land, but don’t worry it’s still by the water.
Taking place at Woodbine Park this year, this location promises to be a lot easier for commuters to get to a lot closer to civilization; I mean it won’t be on an island in the middle of the water.
