That commitment is for 2.6-billion dollars over five years.
Sousa called the budget ``inspired'' and says it demonstrates the shared values and goals of the two Liberal governments.
Even though federal spending on infrastructure is about half what was promised in last year's election campaign, Sousa says it's a ``huge'' increase over what the previous government provided.
And he likes the fact the federal government will pick up half the cost of infrastructure projects, instead of the usual one-third.
